How many bands whose production is based on folklore and sounded off the waves of Radio Wave or Radio 1 do you know? A trio of dulcimer-violin-bass (with the violinist being a member of Hradišťan), however, approaches the Moravian and Slovak folk ballads with innovative instrumental deploying and successfully avoids the frequent clichés of “folklores with drums”. The last year’s debut album, aptly named Postfolklor, received a musical award in the category of world music, and despite the acoustic nature and traditional instruments, it also sounds like an electronic music, laced with alternative experiments. Up for death – it’s too easy.
