She chose her stage name not by the region in Spain, but by shortening her name. The distinctive and young songwriter Michaela Charvátová does not deny that her melodies are influenced by jazz, soul and blues, and obviously by Anglo-American songwriters who do not care about the rate of folk and pop. No wonder that she is often compared to Norah Jones, for example. First, she attracts you with her exceptional voice – velvety and hypnotic, and then with her original melodies. Her debut EP named It Is Coming has been out literally a couple of days.
